Coming to enjoy the festival in your own aircraft? November updates to come, below is what was planned for February.

Wairarapa Aero Club looks forward to assisting you if you are flying in to attend Wings 23.  To assist with parking please book by emailing contact@wings.org.nz with your aircraft details and approximate arrival time and day.  The Aero Club team will guide you with a FOLLOW ME vehicle to the GA Aircraft parking located by the Aero Club at the south-western side of Hood Aerodrome, there will be an additional parking area the south, on the other side of RWY10 threshold.   

Arriving aircraft on Friday should time arrivals to occur before 0930, or in the intervals between practice periods or after 1700.

Arriving aircraft on Saturday or Sunday should time arrivals to occur before 0900 hours and departures from 1700 hours.

Ensure you have read AIP Supplement 23/23 for all arrival and departure timings NZR590 Masterton, Wairarapa – page 44. 

Don’t forget to check the NOTAM’s for any changes you need to be aware of. 

It is important that you have Air Festival tickets before you arrive, though tickets can be purchased on arrival if required. Please show these to the Aero Club team before they escort you via the quickest route to Groundside. 
Please note: if you are parked in the overflow parking area, you won’t be able to return to your aircraft until after 1700hours. Access to aircraft parked at the Aero Club will be via South Road to the Aero Club, there will be no access across the display aircraft taxi area.
