Ticketing Structure
A suite of different ticket options has been designed to offer several experiences:
High Flyer Pass: Nab the best seats and most exclusive experience in the house with a High Flyer pass. Situated to have the best views of the runway and skies, grandstand seating (a seat is guaranteed), a marquee with additional covered seating, catering and bar, plus dedicated luxury amenities and reserved parking – this is the perfect spot to enjoy your weekend at Wings. Included with your pass is all day tea and coffee, a buffet lunch, afternoon tea and all beverages. A copy of the Wings 2023 memorabilia programme is included in the ticket price.
Note, the High Flyers area is not available on Friday, this pass will provide general admission, and Premium Pass area access only on the Friday.
Premium Pass: With this pass you’re guaranteed a premium grass spot and uninterrupted view of the runway, marquee with additional undercover seating, luxury amenities and reserved parking. The ticket price includes all day tea and coffee, afternoon tea and a cash bar.
General Admission: Whether you’re in for all three days of action, or just want to come along and check things out for one day – we’ve got you covered. The single day pass is available for entry on either Saturday or Sunday. There are child and family concessions available.
Notes:
One copy of the 2023 Wings Over Wairarapa A5 booklet is included with each ticket/pass. Family concessions are considered one ticket so will receive one booklet. High Flyer Passes also include a copy of the 2023 Wings memorabilia programme.
Children 4 years and under are free.
High Flyer and Premium Pass tickets are only available online.
Locals Discount
For the month of December (1-31 December) anyone who lives in South Wairarapa, Carterton or Masterton (based on Council boundaries) will be able to visit Masterton or Martinborough i-SITE and purchase their General Admission tickets at the local’s rate. They will need to provide proof of address by way of rates bill, or utilities bill.
Complimentary tickets
Complimentary tickets have no face value so will not have a refund value in the case of cancellation, or be able to be on-sold.
Media passes
Media will be able to apply for media passes in advance which will be approved by the Marketing Manager.
Group bookings
Bookings of more than 10 people can be made directly by emailing info@wings.org.nz, upon receipt of the request an invoice will be sent to the client. No discount rates apply to group bookings.
Years 11-13 Students Tickets
This complimentary ticket is available for Years 11-13 students (and an accompanying guardian) located in the Lower North Island to attend the Take Flight programme on Friday 24 November.
Ticketing terms and conditions:
General
1. All conditions are to be read together with all other statements or directives shown on (but not limited to) the ticket, displayed on our website, social media or at our premises. By purchasing a ticket to the Event, you hereby agree to these Event Terms and Conditions.
2. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time without notice.
3. Festival management may, without notice, invalidate any tickets that are believed to be in breach of the Event Terms and Conditions, and no refund, replacement or compensation will be offered.
4. All tickets are displayed in New Zealand Dollars.
5. Each ticket attracts a Booking Fee and Processing fee and includes all taxes.
6. Tickets are on a first come first served basis and limited to 10 per transaction.
7. For the purposes of ticket purchase children are aged 5 or older and 17 years or younger. Children 4 and under are free in the General Admission area.
8. Inclusion of aircraft on the Wings Over Wairarapa artwork/poster/website does not constitute a representation that the aircraft will be displayed at the next (or any future) Wings Over Wairarapa shows. Many factors may prevent specific aircraft from appearing.
9. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Purchase of tickets
1. Eventfinda acts as an intermediary for Wings Over Wairarapa.
2. All sales made through this website are subject to the terms of this Agreement.
3. No other ticketing company is authorised to sell tickets for this event.
Terms of sale
1. Tickets may not, without the prior consent of the Festival management, be resold or offered for resale at a premium over the face value of the ticket (including via on-line auction and resale sites) or used for advertising, promoting or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services either by the original purchaser or any subsequent ticket holder. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the Festival management reserves the right to cancel the ticket without a refund.
2. Only tickets purchased and/or resold through Eventfinda are valid. Tickets bought from non-official websites or other sources may be invalid and refused entry.
3. The Customer assumes all risk or danger incidental to the Event, whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to, the actual Event.
Release of liability
1. All persons admitted to the air festival site or car parks expressly assumes all risk and danger arising from or incidental to the festival for which the ticket is issued, whether such risks occur prior to, during, or subsequent to the actual festival. Persons attending the air festival do so at their own risk and Festival management, except in the case of negligence, have no responsibility or liability for any injury, death, property loss or damage, or any other loss.
2. The ticket holder the holder expressly releases the event facility, management, promoters, participants, performers, artists, and the ticketing agency and/or ticketing services provider (collectively “management”) and all of their owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives, and agents, from any and all claims that the holder has or may have that arise from or are incidental to the Festival.
Event cancellation, refunds and exchange
1. Except where it is deemed unsafe to do so, the event will take place rain or shine. If the event is cancelled for any reason, the face value of the ticket will be refunded (this excludes fees).
1. The Festival management reserves the right to change the Event date, time, venue or line up for any reason.
2. Aircraft displays may be subject to alteration without notice. Festival management many cancel or postpone any one or more advertised aircraft, display, performance or exhibit without incurring any obligation to pay any refund or any other liability.
2. If the Event for which this ticket is issued is rescheduled Festival management will automatically transfer all tickets to the new date/venue within 30 days of the announcement, a refund window of no less than 30 days will be made available to ticketholders who cannot attend the rescheduled event.
3. The holder shall have the right, except as otherwise provided, to use this ticket to attend the rescheduled event.
4. If the event is not rescheduled but is instead fully cancelled, a refund of the ticket price (less booking/service fees) will be provided to the ticket holder.
5. The ticket is not subject to exchange except as expressly provided above.
6. If issued as a complimentary ticket, this ticket is not exchangeable or redeemable for another ticket to any other event or performance or for any other consideration, monetary or otherwise.
7. Tickets obtained from unauthorised sources may be counterfeit and worthless. It is unlawful to reproduce the ticket in any form. Management reserves all rights not expressly granted to the holder by these terms.
8. All ticket sales are final and cannot be exchanged or refunded unless required by law, please ensure you review your purchase before processing.
Reservation of management's rights
1. You must follow the reasonable directions of Festival staff as required and comply with the law at all times during the Festival.
2. Management reserves the right to refuse admission to or eject any person whose conduct or hygiene is deemed by Management, at Management’s sole discretion, to be undesirable, including (but not limited to) disorderly conduct, use of vulgar or abusive language, or failure to follow Management or facility rules and directions.
3. Undesirable conduct of any of the types expressly listed above will automatically terminate this license and all rights of the holder.
4. The exercise of management’s ejection rights hereunder does not entitle the holder to a refund of the ticket price or any part thereof.
5. This ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused upon refunding the face amount of the ticket, at management’s discretion.
6. Unlawful resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation of the ticket, without compensation, at management’s discretion.
Compliance with facility rules and the law
1. The holder agrees to comply with all local or facility rules that prohibit or limit alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, bundles and containers of any kind from being brought into the event premises.
2. The holder and the holder’s belongings may be searched upon entry into the Event, and the holder consents to such searches and waives any related claims that might arise against the Festival management. If the holder elects not to consent to these searches, the holder will be denied entry into the Event.
Conditions of entry
When you attend Wings Over Wairarapa Air Festival you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news and promotional purposes by Wings Over Wairarapa Ltd.
Still and moving photography is permitted from the Festival venue for private use and bona fide media use only. Commercial use of still or moving photography (video) may be permitted only with the prior written agreement and consent of Wings Over Wairarapa Ltd.
Public camping of any kind is not permitted on the airfield or in any of the designated vehicle parking areas or in the private aircraft parking area. All vehicles must vacate the parking areas at the conclusion of each day's performance.
Animals/pets are not permitted on the airfield or in other parking area.
No commercial food or beverages are to be brought onto the Wings Over Wairarapa 2023 site without prior written, only individual portions of non-commercial food will be admitted for young children and those with special dietary requirements.
No alcohol is to be brought onto the Wings Over Wairarapa 2023 site.
A strict security regime will be in operation at the Wings Over Wairarapa Air Festival 2023. All persons entering this site may be subject to personal or property checks and inspections.
Dress Code
· For safety reasons, footwear is to be worn at all times.
· We do not permit gang patches or gang paraphernalia to be displayed.
Security and its representatives reserve the right to request patrons to present any clothing, bags and other carried items for searching, including being subject to a pat down and/or a scanner search before entry. If you refuse to present any of the requested items for searching, you will be denied entry. For a full list of prohibited items please visit wings.org.nz
Entry will be refused if a patron is intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances.
Entry may be refused for various reasons, including misconduct, intoxication, etc., as determined by Festival management.

Search on Entry
1. You and/or your possessions may be subject to a safety and security search upon entry. Below is a list of prohibited items. Confiscated items will not be returned, replaced or reimbursed. Festival management take no responsibility for confiscated items.
2. Permitted Items:
· Small folding tables, chairs, stools and umbrellas or rain/sun shelters. Note that these items are prohibited within 20m of the flight line fence so must be set up further back than this for safety reasons
· Empty water bottles (not glass) to use at the free water refill station
· Service animals
· Small amounts of non-commercial food for individual consumption
· Chilly bins / Coolers
3. Prohibited Items:
· Drones
· Banners with poles
· iPads or Tablets
· Cans or glass of any kind
· Strictly NO alcohol or illicit drugs
· Commercial food and drinks, including takeaways
· Metal utensils and containers, cutlery, etc.
· Dangerous goods
· Fireworks, flares, lasers or flashlights
· Knives, Tasers, Mace, Chains, Spurs or Studded Jewellery
· Offensive weapons including, but not limited to, any object that may be used as a projectile such as glow sticks, balls, containers, etc.
· Air horns and loud hailers
· Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles or scooters
· Unauthorised promotional, marketing or advertising.
· Animals (excluding service dogs such as guide dogs and police or emergency service dogs)
· Any other items deemed by management to be illegal, dangerous or a nuisance to yourself or others.
4. Please note that prohibited items will be confiscated and will not be returned.
5. If in doubt, leave it at home. Management takes no responsibility for confiscated items.
Drug and Alcohol Policy
1. This event complies with the Liquor Licensing Authority and prohibits the serving of alcohol to intoxicated or under-aged persons.
2. There will be zero tolerance for intoxication.
3. Persons supplying alcohol to underage patrons will be evicted from the premises.
4. This event maintains a strict ‘no drugs’ policy.
5. Incidents involving alcohol or drugs will be referred to the NZ Police where the situation requires it.
Behavior
1. In extreme cases, a patron who exhibits unacceptable or disruptive behavior will be asked to leave the venue.
2. Dangerous activities are not permitted and may result in the removal of patrons from the event
3. Failure to comply with a direction from staff, security staff or the NZ Police to leave the event venue after having been warned to leave may render the ticket holder liable to arrest and prosecution for the offence of trespass under section 4 of the Trespass Act 1980 which is punishable on conviction by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 3 months.
